We concluded a series of body combat lessons for PE this week! Thank god! *collapses* My arms are still aching from their stupid push-ups. Concluded that I am definitely the biggest couch potato ever.

I suppose in some ways, you could say that body combat was fun. A lot of the other classes in our group seemed to enjoy roundhouse kicks and upper cuts. (WHY???) But then if you're an even bigger couchpotato than me, perhaps standing in a line with other rather unenthusiastic classmates, looking retarded while punching and kicking invisible enemies isn't exactly the best way to spend free time.

It was probably quite evident, from our abysmal 5-person attendance for the very first scheduled lesson, that our class was never really overzealous about body combat. It was certainly evident to the instructor. How he can stand prancing around for an hour still eludes me. And to Skater Boi in techno. (WHY???!!!!!) So most lessons saw him attempting courageously to boost the spirits and morale of the sad class on the extreme right.

Instructor: *staring at us* Come on! I don't hear you over there! Let's try that again! What do you say when you do this? *punches air* ....I still don't hear you!!!!

As well as announcing into his clip-on mic what we were doing wrong.

Instructor: *booming* Its your left leg in front!... Right hand!! Right hand!!! That's your left hand!!! Right!!!

But for most part, body combat for us went as far as half-hearted kicks and limp-wristed jabs. But it was fun though. Collective embarassment always makes for memories to laugh at in years to come.
