Exhale

Was planning to do some baking with Gwen tomorrow. Met her today during a combined Chinese class - where our long suffering chinese teacher was screening Romance of the 3 Kingdoms and giving a running commentary at the same time as we attempted half-heartedly to read the subtitles - what is the point of having subtitles in Chinese when the whole film's in Chinese? Haha strange things. Then Gwen and I had our own private conversation about our baking project.

Gwen: We'll need...flour.
Me: Yar I have that.
Gwen: Butter?
Me: Yep.
Gwen: Baking powder.
Me: Yea i should have that too.
Gwen: Mixing bowl?
Me: Yep!
Gwen: Haha ok...oh yea and an oven too but you do have that right...
Me: ....Erh, no.
Gwen: *stares* You don't have an oven???!
Me: I have a ...microwave oven?
Gwen: *growls* JEANNE!!!!! You can't bake with a microwave oven!
Me: No no its possible!
Gwen: It'll come out rock hard!

Went home to ask my mum if it was possible to bake stuff in our microwave oven. And apparently it does have special powers. Something to do with convection and its distribution of heat...ugh sounds like physics. All is not lost then. Just have to look for the mix tomorrow...somewhere.

Haha I feel like stuffing myself with Japanese food again.

This was quite a ridiculous school week for one particular reason. Glad its over and there's the long weekend stretched out ahead.
