Went for Grad Nite yesterday. And it was very fun even with my merry, merry friends Elaine :P You should've come!

Went to HS in Paragon for make up, hair and studio photos. The makeup was...very thick. Pea famously remarked that we looked like a bunch of sluts in the Ladies' where we were frantically trying to blot out the lipstick. I suppose the makeup was heavier than usual because we were going to take photos later so they couldn't afford to "go easy" as Ann requested. My mum was horrified after the prom when she was trying to remove all the powder.

Mum: *violently scrubbing my face with makeup removal for the third time* Oh my goodness! Your makeup! *panting* Its fantastic! I still can't get all the foundation off!

Spent almost as much time removing all the pins which the hair stylist had stuck into my head. I counted them later. There were 33 hair pins in total! So I've got this little black pile of pins now on my bedside table and they still smell like that insecticide-hair spray she used. Eeeee.

And the school cheated us! Miranda clearly said during the briefing that the first 200 to arrive at the hotel would get half their money back (or some money back anyway). Well. We were the first 10 people to sign in and we didn't get anything! Just some 18 dollar voucher at Jill Lowe's makeup place. Sheesh. No wonder Mr Loh was so evasive when we tried to confirm the half money back thing just before the ballroom opened. Pea came from some other hotel and phoned to ask about the partial refund while on her way over. She was understandably pissed at my reply.

Pea: *furious* WHAAAAT?? Are you serious? There's no cash at all? And did you say they're giving out J. Lo vouchers?? What's their problem??!! *starts to rant a bit*

Am quite hostile toward Jill Lowe now. Firstly because her $18 voucher - which was useless...who wants a makeover after the prom?? - replaced that refund I was hoping for and secondly, we later got these Jill Lowe makeup cases as a table prize during the dinner. We thought they'd at least have Jill Lowe products inside but we opened it up and there were just these empty Jill Lowe bottles! (for putting in your own makeup I guess) Ripoff! The only thing useful in there was the mirror which Ann and I used to check whether we'd eaten up all our lipstick!

Ah but the food was v. nice though. Mm...Sharks Fin Soup! Not too bad! Although I think my dad would be upset if he found out I ate the stuff; he's had a 2-year boycott on the dish and collects those anti-Sharks Fin postcards which feature a bride and groom walking into a banquet hall filled with bloody Shark carcasses ("hundreds of innocent sharks are tortured and left to die each year for your wedding feasts...").

Anyway, it ended at around 11pm with dancing. Never dance in heels! Discarded our shoes by the side after realizing we'd end up with major cramps if we continued in those stilettos. [still got cramps anyway] There was some fog machine which churned out this thick white smoke which smelt faintly of...satay? Something burnt anyway giving the impression that we were dancing in the middle of a bonfire. Had fun with Sylvia while we did some Bollywood dance to Eve's Who's that Girl with Clarissa - who was sandwiched between us - unknowingly serving as our coconut tree. No booze Sylvia but you have to admit it was still quite fun without it eh?

Recovered today by spending 5 hours on PS replaying FFX. Ann and Gwen think I'm weird for saying a "cartoon character" is shuai. Sheesh! Its CGI! Donald Duck is cartoon character! There's a huge difference!

Gwen: *blank* ...Aiya they're both same thing la...
